About

Who We Are
ERI is a social enterprise founded in 2014 with the aim of :
-
Making the research and fundraising services most needed by non-profits and social enterprises accessible to all, regardless of budgetary constraints.
-
Providing a new source of funding for organizations that aim to reduce poverty and social injustice by addressing the root causes that perpetuate them.
ERI consists of a management team that combines expertise from both academia and the non-profit sector, an advisory board of leaders from academia and civil society, and a large network of academic experts from a wide range of fields and disciplines.
What We Do
ERI is both a research institute and a donor supporting the work of non-profits and social enterprises. To that end, we donate 90% of our profits to fund our giving activities.
Services
Our specialty is in the types of research and consulting services that meet the most urgent practical needs of non-profits:
-
State-of-the-Science Reviews
-
Literature Reviews
-
Research-based Grant Writing
-
Policy and Advocacy Papers
-
Quantitative and Qualitative Research in the Social Sciences
-
Impact Assessment and Program Evaluation
-
Financial Development Consultation
-
Strategic Consultation
In order to make these services accessible to all we often offer special grants to cover part of the costs of budget-constrained clients.
Giving
ERI supports non-profits and social enterprises in two ways:
-
By offering grants and impact investments to promising organizations that aim to reduce poverty and social injustice by addressing the roots causes that perpetuate them
-
By offering pro-bono consultation and support in fundraising and reaching potential donors.
Our Values
-
ERI is committed to meeting the highest standards of academic integrity and rigor.
-
ERI is committed to the principle that budgetary constraints should not prevent any effective non-profit from receiving the research services they need to carry out their mission.
-
ERI will not engage with any client who is involved in any way, directly or indirectly, in violence, human rights violations or academic plagiarism.
